What is teriyaki?

Teriyaki is actually a cooking method: "teri" means gloss and "yaki" means grilled. The sauce is made from soy sauce, mirin, and sugar reduced to a shiny glaze with a perfect balance of salty and sweet.

How to use teriyaki sauce

Brush over chicken or salmon in the last minutes in the oven or pan, use it as a stir-fry sauce with noodles and vegetables, or as a marinade – preferably with a little grated ginger and garlic. Make your own from scratch with soy sauce and mirin.
