Abba Anchovy Matchless 55g
Abba Ansjos Makalös 55g is the Swedish spiced herring pieces that are the key to classics such as Janssons fristelse. The pieces sit in an aromatic, spiced brine with a characteristic sweet-salt flavour, and have been a fixture of Nordic cooking for generations – not least on the Christmas table.
Use the ansjos in Janssons fristelse and gubbröra, chop it into scrambled eggs or potato salad, or lay a few pieces on a good open sandwich with egg. The brine can go into the dish as well for extra flavour. A small tin that makes a big difference in cooking. You will find more flavourings in the spice range.
