ØZ Yufka Taze Kadayif 400g is fresh, thread-thin kadayif pastry – the very basis of künefe and a number of other sweet classics from the Middle East and Turkey. The strands are soft and easy to work with, and turn golden and pleasantly crisp when fried in butter.
Make classic künefe by layering cheese between two beds of buttered kadayif strands, frying until golden and pouring over cold sugar syrup – serve warm, ideally with chopped pistachios. The strands also work in biscuits and nut-filled desserts. Put together a sweet table with dates and sweet treats.
