Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between curry paste and curry powder? The paste is moist and already fried together with onion, garlic and ginger, so it gives more depth faster. The powder is dry spice you have to fry out in oil or ghee yourself.

Which rice goes with Indian food? Basmati. The long grain turns loose and fluffy, and the aroma stands up to robust curries without disappearing.

What is ghee? Clarified butter – the milk solids have been removed, so it withstands high heat and keeps for a long time.
